When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."
Judges 6:12

We do not walk alone. We walk with the One who is ever present. He is revealing Himself to us. He will show Himself strong. It is time for a hunger for God. We need to see things the way He sees them.

People of God, you do not walk in a cold, lonely wasteland. You walk with the most high!

Things don't stop here at the manger scene. It really all began here. A new age. God with us. Never to forsake us. His promise is that he will be with us always, even until the end of the age.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

And because He is Immanuel, God with us, that power is at work in us today.

The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

The expanses cannot contain Him. He is so big. Little is much when He is in it.

Shout aloud to Him. Shout aloud. The great King and God. The kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and God.

Battle Sometimes pursuing the Gospel of Christ seems just like this picture.

I love you, O LORD, my strength.The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the LORD?  And who is the Rock except our God?  It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights.  He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet. Psalm 18:1-3, 16-19, & 30-50

Signposts This is what the LORD says: "Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, the man who holds it fast,  who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil." Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say, "The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree." For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me and hold fast to my covenant-to them I will give within my temple and its walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off. And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant-these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." The Sovereign LORD declares - he who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered." Isaiah 56:1-8

I don't have any sound files this week. All the equipment was moving for the all-church event. But what is on my heart is the mission. Everywhere we go there are signs, this town 42 miles, that town 26. This street here, that street there. Whether near or far, God is calling us to go to those places, to call his people to Himself. Bind yourself to the Lord. His house is a house for all nations.

Wreck On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai:  "Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people. Ask them, 'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing?  But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the LORD, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the LORD Almighty. 'This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.'
"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.  I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty.  'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty. 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty."
Haggai 2:1-9

If you look at the ruins, all you can do is remember the glory of the former house. But after all is shaken. After God has removed all the dross. The time of rebuilding comes, the time of revival comes. When we allow Him to work through us in that time, it is His work, not ours. And what comes reflects Him.

Open Hands::Grasp Him Now

Hands Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Psalm 145:13-16

Last week when we worshiped and prayed God revealed that His door is open and that the church should pass through it while there is still time.

This week we see that His hand is open, held out. There is fire in His hand for those who will grasp it. In that hand is the gift of endurance to generations of his followers. This generation needs to grasp that enthusiastically and without hesitation.

The Door is Open NOW!::Into the Fire

Doortofire Wow... what an awesome session we had this Sunday! We were shy a few of the regulars...but God MOVED!!!

For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:8

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being. Acts 17:26-28

If you're reading this entry and looking at the picture, you might be wondering why the scripture wasn't referring to the fiery furnace story from the book of Daniel. Yet this is really a furnace story. Its about being in the presence of the Most High and burning with His fire, His Spirit, His passion. What the Lord revealed during our intercession was that the door is open and that we need to move through it now, while it is still open, while there is still time and the furnace of God will define our very being. There are way too many Christians that move through this world and have no idea of what it means to be committed to Him, to press through through the door to Him.
